Please Help This Family

Basically what we want to do is survive until my husband can retire and receive his social security. That's only a year away but during this recession our business has tanked.

He is 61 and I am 52. My husband and I have been self employed for the last 8 years so it is next to impossible for either of us to find a public job with the current state of the economy and our health issues.

I am medically disabled but unable to receive disability benefits because we own a platt of land that is worth a mere 20,000. We have tried and tried to sell this land to no avail.

My husband has had 2 heart attacks in the past two years and would be limited to employment.

We have a pretty simple life. We don't waste money, we have no fancy house with all the fancy furnishings. We own a 98' chevy pickup, a dog and a cat, that's about it.

Our bills run about $1200 a month not including our meds which are app $300 a month.

My first husband was killed in a car wreck when I was only 20 years old. We were very young and saw no need for life insurance. My second husband died of a massive heart attack when I was 42 and we simply couldn't afford life insurance.

Now all I desire is to survive without losing what we have so if you have a little you can spare it would be so deeply appreciated and I am sure God will bless you for it. I am in constant contact with him!

These are some good friends that I have known for many years. They are good people that have fallen on hard times and have no family to help them out. They are not asking for handouts, just a helping hand!
